Events and news Events Fit for mums 6 week postnatal programme A FREE, fun and friendly 6 week progressive exercise programme for Basildon, Canvey and Thurrock mums, to help you feel fit and healthy after giving birth. You can attend after your 6 week postnatal check, if you had a normal delivery or 3 months after a c-section. The exercise sessions consist of; A meet and greet; A one hour exercise session which changes every week to incorporate the different muscle groups; Stretches to alleviate tension and tight muscles; Pelvic floor exercises; Refreshments. During refreshments health topics can be discussed such as baby lead weaning, feelings and emotions, first aid. As this is a progressive exercise programme it is really important for you to attend every session, in order to gain the health benefits. By the end of the programme you should feel ready to access a regular exercise classes and feel more confident.
