What support will I get?

We very much value our volunteers and aim to provide high quality support to ensure their time with us is rewarding and enjoyable. We encourage them to keep in touch with the programme team and seek support and advice as needed.

The package of support includes:

  • One-to-one supervision provided on a regular basis as agreed between the volunteer and the supervisor. This encourages you to reflect on the support you are providing and your own volunteering role
  • Skilled support and guidance from a public health nurse when needed
  • Ongoing training and support to enable you to keep building your skills and follow the programme guidelines and procedures
  • Helping you to gain a national qualification
  • Reimbursement of your out of pocket volunteering expenses (child care and travel according to our expenses policy)
  • Use of a mobile phone for volunteering activities.
